As a co-director and qualified geotechnical engineer, Ash plays a central business development role at Operational Geotechs. He works closely with clients and is a proficient technical problem solver. Ash is also tasked with focusing on innovation and new service offerings.

Ash was the co-founder and director of Geotechnical Mining Services (GMS), which is now part of Operational Geotechs. GMS was established to supply high-quality instrumentation and auxiliary geotechnical/geological services to support site-based geotechnical engineering and geology departments. Ash has a depth of experience in hard rock open-pit and underground mines spanning across a wide range of commodities and mining methods. Ash completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Geotech Engineering) at the University of Tasmania.
