Manager Operations – West

Harnessing his extensive experience in a range of underground geotechnical environments, Dan expertly assists our clients based on Australia’s west coast. He also guides and mentors our WA-based geotechnical engineers, paving the way for them to be able to offer practical and professional on-site support. Dan is known for his pragmatic approach to technical challenges and regularly travels to site to ensure his team is equipped to meet the changing needs of our customers.

Upon completing a Bachelor Engineering (Hons), Engineering Geology & Geotechnics from the University of Portsmouth, Dan began work as a design engineer in New South Wales. In 2011, he moved to Kalgoorlie in Western Australia where he worked with a number of established mining companies. During this time, he gained experience in small scale narrow vein mining, paste fill, bulk open stoping and sub level caving operations. He is adept at managing seismic risk, designing and maintaining large seismic arrays, ground support design, and optimisation for dynamic, static and squeezing conditions.
