Jed, a motivated backfill engineer and geotechnical engineer, is Operational Geotechs’ Project Lead – Backfill. Jed’s  focus is leading the backfill engineering and site support services component of the OG business.  Jed plays a key role in providing mentoring, guidance and support to our site based Backfill Engineers and manages the technical and engineering aspects of our backfill studies

Jed joined our team in September 2020 following 12 months working as a student and graduate geotechnical engineer at an Australian mid-tier base and precious metals producer. Prior to this, he spent a year working at a secondary school in the UK as a chemistry technician. Jed has a Master of Science (Applied Geotechnics) from the University of Exeter and a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Bristol.
